Mini Bites — Thanksgiving Recipes For All Day Long

We all know Thanksgiving is all about the food.

Maybe that is why it is one of my favorite holidays. I love food, I especially love fall themed food. While the Thanksgiving turkey and the mashed potatoes are the holy grail of this holiday — there is so much more eating to do. In our family gatherings we graze on snacks while the turkey is cooking and the cooks are furiously making food. We like a little surprise tidbit on the table (see my stuffed mushroom recipe below) and we love pies and snacks later after we have recovered from overstuffing ourselves.

Here are a few ideas of some tasty pre -Thanksgiving treats, some mini Thanksgiving meal bites and some small after the meal munchies bites. I will be serving up some of these super easy extras this Thanksgiving. What are some of your favorite Thanksgiving recipes to cure the munchies?

We love Brie and this year I am going to try baking it up this way. Brie wrapped in crescent dough. I will serve it with a little cranberry chutney or apricot jam and crackers.

Easiest Spiced Pumpkin Muffin recipe for breakfasts, snacks or in between. I don’t have a pic for this recipe but I promise they are amazing and lower in fat than most pumpkin muffins. There are versions of this muffin recipe all over the internet. Here is how I serve it up.

The Recipe:

1 box Extra Moist Spice Cake Mix1 can 15 oz pureed pumpkin1 tsp of pumpkin pie spice or (1/2 tsp cinnamon, 1/4 tsp ground ginger, 1/4 tsp of nutmeg)

Directions:

Preheat oven to 350. Line or grease a muffin tin.

Mix ingredients together until well combined. Spoon into 12 muffin tins. Bake for 25 to 30 minutes.

And for the dessert munchies, I also love to serve up some mini pies or tarts alongside the full pies. This year I am doing a cranberry chocolate mini pie but I also love these mini lemon tarts. The recipe is on the link below from my foodblog Pantry Eats.

Happy Thanksgiving and may your tummies be full of good eatin’
