The Christmas Tree Lighting provides a community event for the citizens of Allen to celebrate the upcoming holiday season. Community organizations and local school groups join in the celebration. The Christmas tree used for the lighting is a 35 foot artificial tree with more than 20,000 lights. There are an additional 40,000 lights decorating the Civic Plaza and the buildings surrounding the plaza.
Bring your friends and family to the Downtown/University District to enjoy the Annual Holiday Lights Parade. Thousands of people will gather for the pageantry which ends with the lighting of the Christmas tree on the steps of City Hall. Don’t forget to bring your camera and take a picture with Santa after the parade at the new Levitt Pavilion in Founders Plaza at 100 W. Abram St.
The City of Bedford would like to invite you and your family to the annual Holiday Tree Lighting Celebration at the Old Bedford School. There will be singing, stories, train rides, refreshments, a visit from Ole Saint Nick and much more! Pictures will be available for purchase of $5. Santa will arrive at 6:00 pm with the lighting following.

Have you ever enjoyed snow for a day? We will have fun getting in the spirit of the season. Play in the snow by tubing down a hill, ride a real Stagecoach, sing carols and shop til you drop! The day comes to an end with our annual Christmas Parade, starting at 4:30 pm, bringing Santa to the Square, lighting the trees and enhancing your Holiday Season.
Come capture the true spirit of a small-town holiday celebration! The 21st Annual Holiday Lighting Festival on Denton’s downtown square kicks off with a sing-along and the lighting of the community Christmas tree. Twinkling lights, choirs, bell-ringers, dancers and the aroma of spicy hot cider will transport the child in you to memories of Christmas past. Take a spin in a horse-drawn wagon, have your child’s photo taken with Santa, or participate in interactive arts and crafts activities that will forge memories for the entire family. Vote for your favorite cider as downtown businesses compete in the annual Wassail Fest.
The theme is Winter Wonderland. Line up will take place behind the DeSoto ISD administration Building at 200 E. Belt Line Road and the parade will travel west on Belt Line turning north on Hampton Road and continuing north on Hampton ending at DeSoto Town Center.
Come enjoy the festivities of the season with carolers, music on multiple stages and a visit with Santa. The annual Tree Lighting Ceremony will take place at 7 p.m. in Haggard Park. Santa will be in his house to talk with kids from 6:30 pm to 9 p.m.
The Fuller House, McCormick Barn and the 157 year-old Himes Log House will all be decorated for the season. Choirs will be there to sing your favorite Christmas songs. Visit our petting zoo or ride the Christmas Choo-Choo. Kids young and old can visit Santa and make their own Christmas ornaments. Members of the Euless Historical Preservation Committee will conduct guided tours of the oldest brick house in Euless. We’ll have free hot chocolate, lemonade and cookies for everyone. Holiday cheer and Euless history wrapped up in one great afternoon!

Four million Christmas lights, two miles of lighted displays, one must see event of the season. Enjoy the holiday spirit with the entire family as you drive through 500 lighted displays in Lynn Creek Park on Lake Joe Pool, stopping midway to enjoy Holiday Village with its food, carnival rides, lighted walkthrough and an all new light show set to music.
Thousands of merrymakers will witness an enchanting display of more than 100 colorfully lighted floats that will pass through Historic Downtown Grapevine. Rolling to the tune of numerous marching bands playing holiday music, the Grapevine Parade of Lights is North Texas largest lighted Christmas parade. The parade starts at Main St. and Vine St. and heads north on Main St. to Wall St. The parade is free and open to the public.
From the moment guests enter the Heard native plant garden, they will enjoy thousands of holiday lights and displays including a beautifully decorated walk along the popular dinosaur trail that will commence with a hayride and caroling. Guests will also enjoy a Christmas tree lighting, live entertainment on the amphitheater stage, pictures with Father Christmas & Mother Nature, complimentary hot chocolate and cider, and an Artisans Market. Join NorthPark and Cadillac for a holiday kickoff celebration for families. NorthPark’s famous Santa Claus will host a special story hour before the screening of a kid-friendly holiday movie. Kick off the Holiday Season and celebrate the Richardson Community at Richardsons 38th Annual Christmas Parade! This Richardson tradition will be held on Saturday, December 5th at 9:00 a.m. and will be on the east side of Richardson. The parade route will go north on Plano Road from Richardson Square to Huffhines Park Ballfields on Apollo Road. This years theme is Christmas Texas Style!
