Grilled Reuben Sandwich Recipe

Memorial Day weekend means it’s GO TIME for grilling!

And did you know that TODAY is National Hamburger Day? But we wanted something with a little more excited this weekend on the grill, so we gave Johnsonville Grillers a try — these flavorful sausage patties come in four flavors and were just the think to make our grill feel a bit more gourmet for the weekend.

My husband and I both love a Reuben sandwich, so turning a “hamburger” into a Reuben just made sense!

I give you the Johnsonville Reuben:

Grocery List:

Rye Bread, cut thick

Johnsonville Grillers- Swiss Cheese & Mushroom

Sliced Corned Beef or Pastrami

Sauerkraut

Thousand Island Dressing

Swiss Cheese Slices (if you want extra cheese)

Directions:

Butter Rye Bread slices and toast them on the grill alongside Johnsonville Grillers.

As soon as the Grillers are done (see package for instructions), top with additional Swiss Cheese slices and Corned Beef or Salami (or both!).

Layer Griller, Cheese, Pastrami, Sauerkraut, and then Thousand Island Dressing. Garnish with pickles and enjoy!

Johnsonville Grillers are already packed with premium pork and seasonings, so we could spend our time pondering the perfect toppings…we were pretty happy with the delicious results.
