This is a day where we attend parades, BBQ’s and watch baseball! But there is so much more your kids can do to keep busy during this popular summer holiday. Here are a few great July 4th activities, printables and goodies you can share with the family. My goal is to make one of the 4th of July Clothespin wreaths to hang on my door!
July 4th Activities
Star-Spangled slime – Slime is fun any time of the year. This one adds a few red, white and blue stars.
Paint stars on driveway – I love the idea of decorating your yard and driveway with stars. This is great for the kids to do.
American Flag paint stick project – All kids love to play with popsicle sticks, this is a great project leading up to the 4th of July.
Patriotic necklace – My kids love to make necklaces and these will be fun to wear to the town parade.
Confetti launchers – This is a great alternative to fireworks especially if your kids are too young for sparklers.
4th of July rock painting – I think rock painting is underrated! We used to do this all the time when I was a kid.
If you want to keep your kids busy on this upcoming 4th of July, check out these free printables. You can find everything from a patriotic word search to bingo to a July 4th scavenger hunt. I can’t wait to share these with my kids on this summer holiday!
4th of July word search puzzle – My kids have just gotten into word searches. This will help teach them some words associated with the holiday.
