The full hat is worked in (moss stitch rib) this will give it more depth and the ridges run from front to back.

Moss stitch rib consists of 2 rows.

Row 1 (knit 1 purl 1)

Row 2 (knit)

Continue in pattern until work measures desired length approximately 10—12—-14—cm.

Now begin decreasing for the crown section.

Do your decreasing on the pattern row.

(Knit 2 together pattern 6) continue this way to the end.

Knit 1 row.

(Knit 2 together pattern 5 knit) to the end.

Knit 1 row.

Continue this way until you are on knit 2 together all the way across .

Then thread your yarn through the remaining stitches draw up and secure. Fasten off.

Stitch down the side.

Hair designs

Check the pictures and decide which you like. They are done the same way apart from the length.

An easy way to do your lengths is to wrap the yarn around a book and then cut through one loop and secure with a strand of yarn.

Attach it to the main piece by threading it through with a hook one at a time. Make a circle with chalk where you want them to be.

That way you will keep them even. Add the fringe by tying on strands at the front.

How easy is that?
