How to Keep You and Your Kids Hair Looking Great
Hair, sometimes you love it, others times you don't!
We all have some sort of problems with our hair. You get up, style your hair, love it, but the next day, do the same thing, and you hate it. People walk by, and you secretly hate them for having perfect hair. But all is not as it seems, even they have "bad hair" days. You can always tell when that happens. They are wearing barrettes, headbands, scarves, bandannas, or hats, to try and fix it.
What care the hair types?
Some people are lucky enough to have soft silky hair, but others have to work hard for that look. There are so many different types of hair that people are born with, and have to live with. It can be very fine, thick, curly, straight, frizzy, blond, brunette, black, Auburn, Red, or strawberry blond. Don't like your hair? Do something about it!
What can you do with your hair?
You can always change the color of your hair. Taking vitamins, specifically for hair and nails, does wonders, but be aware that you cannot stop, or it will get brittle again. There are also special shampoos designed for specific hair types as well. If you have super curly hair, you can tame the frizz, to give a softer look. The same goes with thin hair. Adding a volumizer does wonders, to make it look fuller.
What about hair tools?
Use special hair dryers for thin, curly or straight hair. Some have brushes already attached. You just have to get the right one for your hair type. You can even get some with heat adjustments from cool to hot. Women with curly hair who feel like having straight can now have that option. Just get a hair straightener, and do it at home. It used to cost hundreds of dollars to get this done at a salon, only to go back to curly, once you washed it.
Of course, using some of these products can do a lot of damage to your hair. Hair dryers and brushes, used at the same time, puts undue stress on hair by pulling too much. This results in hair breakage, and split ends. The same goes for using hair sprays, and mousse. When you brush your hair, while using these products, pulls on your hair strands to break them too. Dying your hair, while it is fun, and gives you a new look, can also damage hair. So what do you do to help your hair? Try using hair masks for damaged hair, you will be surprised on how well these masks will help your hair.
What about natural treatments?
Use items you already have at home to give your hair a "free" treatment? You will feel much better, using all natural things that you know where they come from. Get out your olive oil and a fresh Avocado, mashed. Put 2 tbsp of oil, add 2 tbsp of honey. Mix together, and put it all through your clean damp hair. Leave in for 30 minutes, shampoo and condition as usual. This one is great for dry/damaged hair.
Eggs aren't just for breakfast. Whisk an egg, 2 tbsp mayo, 1 tbsp olive oil, and 1 tbsp of honey. Put in hair for 30-60 minutes, depending on thickness of hair. This is great for those with curly hair. It keeps away the frizzles. If your hair lacks protein in its follicles, mix 2-4 tbsp coconut oil, 1 tbsp. of honey, and spread it in to your hair and scalp. Leave on for 30-60 minutes. Your hair will smell great. Wash and condition.
There are many more natural moisturizers, that you can do in the comfort of your home. For the best results, use a shower cap to help keep the moisture in. So stop beating up your hair, and start loving it. Your hair will be much happier, and love you!
